42 Year Old Canadian Singer, Michael Bublé Tells About His Son’s Battle With Cancer

Do you know how excruciating it can be for a parent to watch his/her child in pains? It gets more excruciating when you as a parent cannot bear such pain on behalf of the child.

That is the story of Canadian singer, Michael Bublé who was overtaken by a parent’s worst nightmare when his eldest son, Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer.

The 42-year-old dad disclosed his son’s cancer diagnoses in a Facebook post in November, 2016 and after 18 months of treatment, the boy is making a steady recovery.

Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato had taken to their Facebook page to share the sad news of their son’s ailment with the world asking for prayers and privacy in their trying time:

“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son, Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US,” they wrote.

“We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy.

We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing,” they added.

Speaking to Australian Herald Sun newspaper, Michael Bublé says he felt like he was in hell during his 4½-year-old son’s cancer battle but admits the ordeal has given him a new perspective.

“I’ve been to hell,” Bublé recently told the Herald Sun. “I don’t talk about the whole story, not even to my friends because it hurts too much. It’s my boy.

He’s a superhero, he doesn’t need to relive it over and again. But I’ve been to hell. And you know what, hell seems like a really nice place to vacation compared to where we’ve been.”

After Michael and wife were told about their son’s diagnosis, both put their careers on hold to support Noah throughout his treatment.

The Haven’t Met You Yet hitmaker made a triumphant return to music over the weekend when he performed for 80,000 fans at Dublin’s Croke Park stadium but admits he “never thought” he’d ever get up on stage again.

“I truly thought I’d never come back to music. Family is what matters. The health of my children is number one. The relationship with my family, my wife, my faith – all of it is easily number one.”

Speaking to the publication, Bublé added:

“I live with a perspective that I just didn’t have before and it allows me to have no fear. Perspective has allowed me to rekindle my love of music.

When I went through Noah’s cancer from the first moment there was a snap. I remember sitting in the hospital room thinking, ‘I was worried about any of that s##t? I was worried about record sales or a meme or what some a##hole said about me?’ In a second it had gotten so clear.

That clarity gave me the opportunity to find love for music again. I’m going to go back to what I was made to do. I’m going to come back to a world that needs love and romance and laughter more than it has in a long time. I’m going to be a conduit to that. This is the greatest record I’ve ever made.”

Noah has since been declared cancer-free. The Canadian singer couldn’t resist sharing the news that they are expecting another baby during a radio interview earlier this week, divulging that he and his wife are expecting their first daughter together.

“I got my first little girl coming in three weeks, and I’ve actually never said that before in public. I’ve got a daughter coming,” he said.
