Nigerian Singer And Dad-Of-3, Timaya Says He Is Not A Marriage Material As He Sheds Light On Parenting
Singer/songwriter, Timaya is the cover face of Vibe.ng’s July/August issue. In the interview, the popular Nigerian Dance hall singer and dad-of-3 talks about marriage, parenting, career, politics among other things.
On his marriage plan, Timaya stated that he is not a marriage material, at least not for now. Timaya declared that he is not ready for that phase yet.
”I’m not a marriage material. I’m not ready for that.”
On how he manages being a parent and a musician, Timaya says he is real to his children and they are also real to him.
”If I have a bad breath she can easily say dad, your breath is bad and vice versa.”

When asked if he would allow his daughter, Emma go into music if she decides to in the future, the single dad-of-3 who fathered two beautiful daughters with his baby mama, Barbara, and who was recently said to have fathered another child with a second baby mama, said he would allow her as long as it makes her happy, but his duty as a parent is to tell her what is good and bad.
“If today (my daughter) tells me, ‘daddy I want to be a stripper’, that’s her life. I brought her into this world. I just need to make her understand what is good and bad, what is right and wrong.”
On his favorite album and song:
”I think True Story because at that point I was really down in my life and I can remember that I barely had food to eat. But everything I spoke about in that album was a dream, a desire, the hunger.
When I sang Ogologonma saying “I don get house, I don get pikin”, I never had a house, I never had a child. Those were my desires and God accomplished everything. To me it was deep. When you really need something and you keep prophesying it, it comes true’.
