A Nigerian Mom & Philanthropist, Courtney Adeleye Surprises Her Daughter’s Teacher In A Touching Way
This is generosity at its best. A concerned mom had heard rumours about the challenges her daughter’s teacher was facing and once those rumours were confirmed to be true, the mom- Courtney Adeleye- a successful CEO and the founder of ‘The Mane Choice hair care products- a hair care line for African American women, swung into action to put a smile on her daughter’s teacher’s face.
Much more than her beauty business, Ms Adeleye is becoming more popular for her philanthropic acts.
The kind-hearted mom had gone to her daughter’s school and invited her teacher to step out with her.
What followed that stepping out with her, left the teacher in tears; tears of joy though.
After speaking with her husband- a medical doctor, about the issue, the couple came to a heart-warming conclusion that they were going to buy their daughter’s teacher, a brand new car.
The brand new car was delivered to the teacher- a white brand new car beautifully decorated with blue ribbons.
“My husband tells me that the teacher who has been teaching my girls for the last few years has been catching multiple buses to get to and from work everyday in the hot sun and cold!” Ms Adeleye posted on Instagram.
“He said we should give her something I said…. say no more!”
When Ms Adeleye brought her daughter’s teacher outside to see the new car she was being gifted, the woman instantly became emotional.
“Are you serious?” she asked. “You’re really serious?” the teacher re-echoed after herself.
Now, when the car keys were handed over to her, she broke down in tears.
“We don’t want you to have to catch the bus,” Ms Adeleye had said to the teacher, before giving her a hug.
“No more sitting in the cold, no more riding the bus, no more waiting on somebody to come and pick me up!” she cried as she hugged Ms Adeleye and her husband, showing her appreciation.
“I cannot believe this! Y’all just don’t know!” she exclaimed before checking out her new car, which appears to be a Ford Focus.
According to Daily Mail, “The 2018 Ford Focus starts at nearly $18,000,” which can be considered as a generous gift. What’s more, according to the caption on the video, the teacher had never owned a car.
“She’s like legit the sweetest person you would ever want to meet!!!” Ms Adeleye also wrote.
The couple’s 11-year-old daughter filmed the touching moment.
Ms Adeleye is no stranger to philanthropy. As a matter of fact, she is well known amongst her Instagram followers for always lending a helping hand. She started the “Pay My Bill program” through which she helps to pay the bills of some of her followers.
She’s since paid bills for more than 150 of such people, according to a Forbes profile on the entrepreneur.
“My ‘Pay My Bill’ weekly giveaway is my way of giving back,” Ms Adeleye said on her website. “Anytime I have the chance to make someone’s day… I seize that opportunity!”
“Taking care of our family is a given. But what we give towards strangers is the ultimate life test.”
