Kenya Moore Welcomes First Child At 47 Amid Health Complications | Baby’s Name Revealed
American actress and ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, Kenya Summer Moore Daly, 47, is officially a mom after welcoming her first child into the world on Sunday.
The reality star called her baby girl who was born at 9:39 a.m weighing 5lbs 12oz, Brooklyn Doris Daly. She came earlier that than expected due to complications with the reality star’s pregnancy.
On Saturday, Kenya had taken to Instagram to share a photo from her hospital bed and captioned it:
“If you want to make God laugh have a plan… won’t be long now. Pray for us.”

Kenya revealed that she had been diagnosed with preeclampsia after gaining 17 lbs in one week. She shared a photo on Instagram of her extremely swollen feet and explained that her sudden weight gain was the result of “severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine.”

The diagnosis forced the ‘Waiting to Exhale’ actress to deliver earlier than expected.
The star, who conceived her self-anointed ‘miracle baby’ through in vitro fertilization ‘gave birth via emergency cesarean section,’ People magazine had reported.
Kenya Moore who is having her first child with husband, Marc Daly, took to her Instagram page to officially announce the arrival of her daughter.
