I have a lot of fears. Iām scared to fly, Iām scared of public speaking, Iām scared of heightsā¦ the list goes on and on.
Itās never been about being āfearlessā for me. Itās about COURAGE. Courage is the ability to look fear in the face and decide to do it anyway.
Itās a choice. Itās an action. Itās a refusal to back down just because you might fail, or because you are scared.
Many people ask me when I startedĀ @Spanx, was I scared? Are you kidding? I was terrified. But what was scarier to me was keeping my life the way it was selling fax machines door to door.
Iām afraid of things on a daily basisā¦ both in business and my personal life. But I donāt let those fears define me and neither should you.
If I had let fear be my deciding factor in startingĀ @spanx… it wouldn’t exist. So when an opportunity or an idea comes knocking and you feel scared? Fine, be scared… But do it anyway.
