Why Celebrity Mum, Toyin Lawani Made Her Son, Tenor, Hawk Fruits On The Street For His 6th Birthday
Celebrity stylist and mum, Toyin Lawani has made a teachable moment of her son’s sixth birthday. The mum-of-two shared on her Instagram, photos of herself and her son, Tenor, hawking fruits from the shoot she organised for the youngster’s birthday.
According to the serial entrepreneur mum, she conceived the idea to teach her son rare values after he would often ask her why she gave money to indigent kids on the streets.
In her post, the stylish mum who placed a tray of oranges on her six year old’s head revealed also that she joined him to sell fruits to people in the traffic in a bid to make him be more empathetic of those who are less privileged than him.
Sharing photos from the shoot, including one where her son Tenor had a tray of oranges on his head, she wrote:
”For my sons 6th Birthday shoot I made him walk in the shoes of the less for a day , we sold fruits to people and hawked in traffic , few people recognized us but didn’t care ,I even tried selling to them ,will post a video later and he learnt a lot from it, He didn’t stop asking me Questions when we got home ,anytime we drive past kids and I give them money ,he’s always saying why this, why that. Now he understands.

That circumstances and predicaments are cousins, we must teach our kids never to look down on anyone because they are more privileged. As Parents , We should teach our kids how to accommodate others with love .
