The World Health Organization (WHO) has debunked a myth about what causes COVID-19. According to WHO, swirling rumours that COVID-19 is airborne and can remain in the air for 8 hours is false.
The international health agency in its tweet reiterated that the virus is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks. It added that the droplets are too heavy to hang in the air and fall quickly on the floor and surfaces.
