A thoughtful 10-year-old girl from California, US who was tired of not seeing or being close to her grandparents came up with a smart way to shower them with her embraces. The little girl identified as Paige had missed her grandpa and grandma and the best way she could think of being in their arms again was by creatively using home supplies to create something known as the hug curtain.
Her proud mother, Lindsay Okray shared Paige’s thoughtful innovation on Facebook. Lindsay who is a nurse said when her daughter was done making the curtain, she was with her and supervised the meetup. It went smoothly and there were no mishaps, the proud mum shared.
Paige saw a video of someone who made this type of ‘blanket’ to hug their family. She put together a list and she designed it so she could hug nana and papa. This girl is so freaking amazing and we were so happy to be able to hug them,
Lindsay said on Facebook.

The 10-year-old made was a long curtain from a huge transparent shower curtain and had openings that could allow her and her grandparents to insert their hands and hug each other.
She attached paper plates and used glue to attach the pieces. Paige then hung it on her grandparents’ doorstep and sealed it properly so she could avoid being in direct contact with them.
The eager 10-year-old then excitedly went to their place ready to hold them for the first time in a long time. Elderly people are regarded as at-risk persons who can easily contract COVID-19 and therefore avoid being in contact with the outside world.
