Eid-Al-Fitr: FG Declares Public Holiday
The Federal Government has declared public holidays to mark the Eid-al- Fitri Celebration that signals the end of the sacred fasting month for Muslims. The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in Abuja.
Aregbesola congratulated all Muslim faithful for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. while declaring Monday, May 25th, and Tuesday, May 26th, as public holidays in commemoration of the celebration.

A statement by the Director of Press in the Ministry, Mohammed Manga, quoted Aregbesola as calling on Muslim faithfuls to replicate the life of kindness, love, tolerance, peace and good neighborliness as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
The Minister further urged Muslims to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines and health regulations as they celebrate.
