See Laudable Move By Women In Jigawa State In A Bid To Ease The Plight Of Pregnant Women In Their Community
Women in a community in the Jigawa State of Nigeria have made the laudable move to solve a potentially fatal problem affecting pregnant women in their community.
The women are receiving applauds from all and sundry after a Nigerian journalist, Abubakar Jari tweeted that the women from Bordo village of Jahun LGA in Jigawa State contributed money to buy a car set aside to transport pregnant women in the community to the nearest clinic.
According to Jari, the nearest clinic to the village is 29km away and the women contributed N1,000 each to buy a car for One Million Naira. The purchase of the is for one purpose, to transport pregnant women to the nearest health care facility when they are in labour.
