Anthony Joshua Shares On What It Really Means To Give One’s Parents A Lavish Burial
Many Nigerians love the idea of giving their departed parents a lavish burial ceremony. This long-standing trend has been a topic of discussion on social media with some condemning lavish burials to emphasize on giving parents a better life while they are still alive.
Sharing his thought on the controversial topic, British-Nigerian boxing heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua explained that the only way any child can give his/her parents a befitting burial is to love them and have a good relationship with them when they are still alive.
The 30-year-old single dad-of-one went further to say that throwing one’s parents lavish burials is an effort in futility if one did not give them befitting lives because they can’t feel the love when they are gone.
He then advised people to love their parents properly while they are still alive.
Taking to Snapchat to express his thought, he wrote:
“Dear children you can’t give your parents a befitting burial while you didn’t give them a befitting live. They can’t see your love after they are gone or see you true affection from the coffin.
Give your mother or father a hug or a call and express your gratitude today. If you don’t have a good relationship with your mother or father this message is not for you.”
