‘Cutting Off Your Family Is The Best Gift You Can Give Yourself’ -Bisi Alimi Stirs Controversy
Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has weighed in on the topic about cutting off family members and has stirred serious controversy in the process.
In the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey and how Harry stood by his wife, Meghan against his royal family, a lot of Nigerians are sharing stories and words of advice on social media.
Recall that Prince Harry and his wife left their family to strike out on their own after the royal lifestyle was affecting their mental health (Read here).
Some have opined that family is everything and you mustn’t cut them off. However, others have said family can sometimes be toxic and it’s OK to cut them off.
Bisi Alimi aligns with the latter and he took to Instagram to make this known.

As expected, Bisi Alimi’s comments have divided Nigerians. Some feel he is saying the truth and others are of the opinion that he is spitting out nonsense.
