2023 Elections: INEC Reveals How Eligible Voters Can Check Their Polling Units Online
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has revealed that eligible voters can check their polling units online ahead of the February 25th presidential election.
Eligible voters are advised to visit the INEC website to find their voting units if they are in doubt.
The instructions were provided by INEC in a brief statement titled “Information for all eligible voters,” which was made public.
INEC’s statement noted that relocating certain assigned voters from crowded polling units to less crowded polling units within the same region was significant because it ensured a stress-free voting experience on election day.
The commission further stipulated that before election day, a list of the 176,846 registered voters in each polling units would be displayed at the polling units.

The statement read:
“INEC in the exercise of its powers under Section 40(2) of the Electoral Act, 2022, has allotted voters from overcrowded polling units to less congested polling units within the same location to promote a more pleasant and stress-free voting experience on election day.
“Please visit the INEC’s Voter Verification System on: www.cvr.inecnigeria.org/vvs or voters.inecnigeria.org to check your name on the register of voters and confirm the location of your polling unit where you will vote on election day.
“Eligible voters are encouraged to visit their polling units to check for their name on the register and confirm the location of their polling unit where they will vote on election day.”

Step 2: Fill the online form to check your voter status and polling unit
Step 3: Click the green link to get direction to your polling unit
Step 4: Follow the map/direction on your phone to locate your polling unit.
