Banky W Highlights The Faults Of Fathers In The Bible As He Upholds God As The Perfect Father Figure

Nigerian music star, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W has pointed out that apart from God, the examples of fatherhood in the scriptures all had great faults.

The dad of one stated this today, June 17, a day after Father’s day.

According to him, he was shocked to learn that there are barely any completely great examples of fatherhood in the scripture, other than God Himself.

He noted that almost every single father in the Bible did something really wrong that greatly affected their children’s future.

He then concluded that dysfunctional fathers create dysfunctional sons who continue the cycle.

The singer shared photos of the fathers in his life and wrote in the caption:

“I was shocked to learn that there are barely any completely great examples of fatherhood in scripture, other than God Himself. Almost every single one did something really wrong.

Abraham lied about his wife, had a baby with his housekeeper, and threw them out. Isaac also lied about his wife and made enemies of his sons. Jacob had 12 sons and passed the same dysfunction on.

Moses was so consumed with ministry that he didn’t teach the same principles in his own family.

Jesse didn’t count David as a son. David really messed up his own sons. One by one, they all got it wrong.

Mistreated and ill-adjusted sons become dysfunctional fathers who mistreat their sons.. and the cycle just goes on.

(I learned this from one of my mentors @hartramsey, and it completely blew my mind).

The one Father who got it completely right was the one who led by example and loved us enough to lay down His life.

May He teach us to do the same… to love, to lead and to sacrifice; to train and to teach; to protect and to provide; to serve and to shield.
