Actress Rita Edochie Addresses Women Who Tolerate Toxic, Cheating Partners For Money: ‘Chai I Weep For You’

Veteran Nollywood star, Rita Edochie has berated women who stick with toxic and cheating men just because he showers them with money.

In a post shared on IG today October 9, the actress said that back in the day when a woman finds out her man is cheating on her, she confronts him, yells at him, starves him sexually and gives him certain attitudes.

She added that if such a man fails to change his ways, the woman will then walk away from him.

She expressed disappointment in modern women who prioritize financial security over self-respect, tolerating reckless cheating and toxic behaviour from their partners.

She wrote:

“It is really very unfortunate to see women preferring to be in a toxic relationship where cheating and infidelity take the lead simply because the so called man showers them with money.

You can imagine a situation where a wife or a fiancée tells her man to use protection (Condoms) while having sex with another woman.

Chaiiiiiiii I weep. What happens to your respect and prestige as the woman of the house? Have you sold them for pounds and dollars?”

The movie star continues:

“I weep for women of this era. During our time, once we find out that our men cheat on us, we will kick against it with full force, yell at him, starve him sexually, give him certain attitudes he won’t find comfortable, and if he refuses to stop cheating, we will walk away from the marriage or relationship, irrespective of who he thinks he is or how much he thinks he has.

“Ladies, you can do better! Now, it’s high time you started proving to your men that money does not buy respect. Secondly, I have been saying this though, ladies have something you do that fetches you money, be a boss, sail your own ship by yourself, so you can comfortably tackle a man who keeps messing up.
