Women Share Silent Battles They Fight In Their Marriages That Their Parents Know Nothing About

Some married women have gone online to share the silent battles they fight in their marriages that they never tell their parents about.

A married woman prompted them to share and many opened up. She asked: “Married women what are those battles you fight silently without your parents knowing? Let’s chat.”

Most of those who spoke lamented about receiving no help from their husbands and having to endure infidelity.

Below are some comments…

One Blessing Ayim wrote:

“I miss my unmarried self. This marriage life is not as easy as they made it seem. I won’t get married in my next life. The stress is not worth it, having to put yourself last while taking care of everyone.”

Another, tlhogi added:

“I’m a maid in my own house. No one cares when I’m sick… I have to get up and clean, and get my kids ready for school. I sometimes miss me… not the granny I see when I look in the mirror.”

MrsMaps wrote:

“He doesn’t help with the kids. His support is only financially. I do school meetings, extra activities, pick ups and drop offs alone, night routine alone, feedings and bathing and still go to work.”

Another wife and mother wrote:

“I do everything for the kids and buy groceries even though he earns 4 times what I earn. I can’t even buy myself clothes. I’m lucky I wear uniform at work.”

Another, Midemine added:

“My husband doesn’t make the first move, whenever I want it, I have to practically ask.”
