Nigerian Woman Shares Encounter With A Henna Artist Who Asked To Be Paid Via Her Husband’s Account
An X user identified as @Fortwin___ has shared her experience with a henna artist she had an encounter with.
The woman initially gave an update on her henna appointment with the artist. According to her, the artist said she can’t leave house to meet the customer waiting for her until her husband leaves the house.
She wrote:
“This woman that wants to do henna for me said that she can’t leave the house until her husband leaves.”
She later added after the artist finally came and was done with the job, she asked her to transfer the money for the job done into her husband account and that she doesn’t take cash.
Angered by the statement, the poster said she went straight to withdraw the money and gave it to her because she worked for it and it belongs to her and not the husband.
She continued:
“We’ve done henna. She said she can only take transfer in her husband’s account. No BVN, No account number, nothing.
I’ve gone to withdraw cash sha. Not on my watch am I sending her money to a man. Yes, she’ll give him when she gets home.
But I’ve done my part. Also spoke to her on how her money is her power so she doesn’t have to depend on anyone after working for hours.
