Nigerian Lady Shares Joyful Ending As Her Mother Finally Leaves 27-Year “Abusive Marriage”

A Nigerian lady took to social media to share her joy after her mother finally left an ‘abusive marriage’ of 27 years.

According to Feyi Alasho, four out of her siblings have left the house due to her father’s violent ways. She added that they left 8 years ago and never looked back.

She wrote on X on Friday, January 3:

“Today my Mother left this 27 years Abusive marriage. Father lord I returned all glory to you.

“Father lord thank you! 4 out of 6 children have left the house when this man almost made our lives miserable We left the house 8years ago and never looked back.

“My heart is so filled with joy when she told me she just furnished her house, when will I and my siblings come visit her.”

Reacting, an X user wrote:

“Nothing hurts so much to see you mom abused, beaten and the worst is to see her mom because a man that should protect her is responsible for the cry.

I understand this lady and her family. But not everything should be on social media. Your mom left in peace, she didn’t announce it and I know she didn’t tell you to tweet it.

Why not celebrate with her quietly. Gen Z kids won’t understand my English self.”

“I understand your English loud and clear. My mom stayed and died in it. I’m scared for life. Got married and we have 2 homes because I’m afraid to dwell with a man. I never had the mind to speak about it. Still hurts my heart.”
