Disturbing Video Shows Nursery School Teacher Repeatedly Slapping Pupil Over Writing Struggle

A video showing a Lagos school teacher violently slapping a little boy multiple times has sparked outrage.

In the video shared online, the teacher, said to be one Mrs Stella Nwadigo, is seen telling the boy named Abayomi Michael to write “six” and the child appears to struggle to get it right.

The teacher then slaps him very hard across the face. Obviously the slap did not achieve the intended result because the boy continued to struggle to write and the teacher slapped him more times.

In total, the teacher gave the child, said to be between 5 to 6 years old, no less than four slaps, each one as hard as the previous one.

The incident is said to have happened in Christ-Mitots school in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The teacher’s actions sparked public outrage, leading to swift intervention by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) and the arrest of the teacher.
