Nigerian Singer, Asake Responds After His Ailing Father Accused Him Of Abandonment And More…

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake has finally broken his silence after a man, Fatai Odunsi, who claimed to be his father, publicly accused him of neglect.
In a now-viral video,Mr Odunsi, who is suffering from a partial stroke, called on Nigerians to offer him financial assistance for his medical treatment, noting that the last time he saw Asake was when the illness began in March 2022.
He said Asake stopped picking his calls since 2022 when his health began to decline, which is why he is coming out to the public to ask for help.
Photos and videos of the ailing father are making rounds on the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X.
“I am Asake’s father. I gave birth to him. I gave birth to Asake, Ahmed, the singer. Babatunde Ololade Odunsin, Mr. Money. Since I had a stroke, I haven’t seen him. The last time I saw him was March 29, 2022. He doesn’t pick my calls when I call him. Please, I only need your help,”
Odunsi said.
The video has since caused a stir online. While some slammed the singer for abandoning his biological father, others dragged the father over his entitlement mentality.
Some sources claim that Asake’s father was a deadbeat and had abandoned him when he was a child; other sources claim that his father was very present in his life and it was his mother who now showers love on him that abandoned him.
Reacting to the allegations in a new freestyle video released on social media, Asake stated that it was impossible to please everyone.
He lamented that his father was trying to cajole him despite the financial support he had provided. He noted that despite his hard work, some individuals were intent on making life difficult for him.
“You can’t please humans, you can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me even though I have always sent him a lot of money. I have struggled for so many years, yet they want to make life hard and exhausting for me,”
Asake freestyled in a mixture of Yoruba and English.
Meanwhile, Asake previously gifted his father a car as a viral video online shows.
