Skit Maker, Ijoba Lande’s Wife Apologises For Infidelity, Asks For Second Chance
Dara, the estranged wife of popular skit maker and actor, Ijoba Lande, has issued a public apology over allegations of infidelity.
Speaking in an interview on Talk to B podcast on Saturday, Dara pleaded for forgiveness from her husband, Nigerians, and those disappointed by her actions.
According to the upcoming actress, she didn’t pray to make such a mistake again as she went ahead to ask for a second chance.
In her words:
“Ijoba Lande, don’t be upset with me. I’m also begging everybody that I have disappointed and Nigerians all over the world.
This is not who I am, but I did not pray to make such a mistake again. And I will never walk close to it again. I beg you in the name of God, I’m so sorry, I’m very sorry.”
Her apology follows the intervention of actor Baba Tee and Mary Gold, who both urged Ijoba Lande to forgive them.
Lande had recently alleged that his wife was involved with multiple men in the entertainment industry—at least 21, according to him—and specifically named Baba Tee in a viral interview and an Instagram post.
Initially, Baba Tee refuted the claims, insisting that he had only met Dara once in 2023 through actress Marygold, who introduced her as a content creator. He had threatened legal action against Lande for defamation as he also challenged him to provide proof of the affair or face the consequences in court.
However, Baba Tee later admitted to a brief sexual encounter with Dara and publicly apologized.
Mary Gold, who was both Lande’s manager and Dara’s best friend, also admitted to facilitating the encounter by taking Dara to Baba Tee’s house. She has also sought forgiveness from Lande.
In a video shared on her social media pages, Mary Gold apologized for her role in his marriage collapse.
“I am pleading with Lande to forgive me for taking his wife to Baba Tee’s house and also for allowing her and her boyfriend to treat infection in my house. I want Nigerians to beg him for me,” she said.
While apologising to Baba Tee, she also expressed displeasure over his alleged dishonesty.
“I also want to apologize to Baba Tee for taking Lande’s wife to his house without informing him, but at the same time, my spirit is not happy with him because he lied against me. However, I understand he was trying to cover himself,”
she added.
