Nigerian Mum Tips Other Married Women As She Recounts How Her In-laws Treated Her The Day She Walked Out Of Her Marriage

A Nigerian woman, Morenikeji Igweh, has narrated her experience with her mother in-law and sister in-law, after she ended her marriage to their son.
The mother of one shared her story on Sunday, April 27, while reacting to photos of Tuface Idibia‘s mother and his new fiancé, Natasha Osawaru meeting after she accused the politician of using charm on the singer.
According to Morenikeji, the day she left her ex-husband, she first call she received was from her mother in-law, who knew every of her struggles with her son.
Morenikeji said her mother in-law and sister in-law bullied her and even rained curses on her for leaving her ex despite knowing how badly he treated her when they were still married.
She went on to advise women to bear in mind that in-laws will side with their own, not minding their son’s behaviour, even though they were aware of all his misdoings!

“The day I left my ex, the first call that came in was that of his mum. I expected diplomacy from her, because she have always liked me, or pretended to like me, till now I don’t know which to believe based on how she treated me after I left.
“How dare you leave? Talo fun e no audacity lati ko eru e Kuro ni Ile oko e”. I paused. “Kilon she e gan na? Mon Bo wa si Abeokuta, mo ma gba Omo owo e, oode ni le shey shit nipa e (She threatened to come to Abeokuta to take my child from me).
That I was shocked was an understatement. This is a person that knew every inch of my struggle. I reported everything that happened to her and in some cases, she have scolded her son over some things he did to me.
Every small thing, moti gbe phone, I go don dey cry dey explain every shege to her. While she’ll keep telling me sorry, “Pele oko mi, Maa ba soro” and before dropping the call, she’d call her son and scold him.
So colour me shocked when I saw her reaction that day. The mother o, the sister o, that I thought were the best thing after Jollof rice bullied me.
I’ll wake up in the morning and the first thing I’ll wake up to is messages filled with curses from them. Won fi oju mi ri mabo. Shebi they said experience is the best teacher? I know better now.
See 2baba’s mum that came to social media, telling people that Natasha used charm on him. See how they wholeheartedly took her in. Annie doesn’t matter anymore. See o.
Dear woman, Know that your in-laws will always put their own first, same way your people will put you first before anybody else (if they are sensible enough). If every woman understands this ehn, na the real shock absorber be that.”

Recall that some weeks back, Tuface proposed to Natasha, who is the granddaughter of the Esama of Benin and Billionaire philanthropist, Gabriel Igbenedion.
The singer and dad of seven in a post shared on his Instagram page, said he’s in love with Natasha and wants to marry her.
This comes just two weeks after 2face revealed his separation and impending divorce from his wife of 13 years, actress Annie.
Reacting to the news of her son’s new found love, Rose Idibia released a video where she appealed to Natasha to free and release her son.
According to her, the Edo state lawmaker put “beads” on 2face’s “hands and neck,” which many implied to be the use of black magic or “juju.”
She claimed 2face isn’t in his “right senses” as he is going through a divorce process from his wife. She also appealed to Nigerians, particularly mothers to tell Natasha to “free” her son.
The video was shared by 2face’s brothers Hyacinth and Charles Idibia on their Instagram pages.
