A Couple in Delta Did This For Their Children & Got Arrested
Fredrick Omorieve, a 66-year-old retired civil servant and his wife, Evelyn Omorieve, were nabbed in Asaba, Delta State, for allegedly writing the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for their two children.
According to Punch, it was revealed that the parents decided to write the exam because their two children had previously sat for the exam on three occasions and failed despite the the lessons they attended.
The couple were arrested in one of the ‘miracle centers’ in Edo State where they had enrolled their children. After giving their statements they were released on bail.
The case however took another twist when they were arrested again after police accused them of jumping bail.
The couple are currently in police custody while investigations continue.
