9-Year-Old Daughter Of Mum, Mrs Idongesit Udo, Killed By Officer Seeks Justice
The daughter of the woman allegedly shot dead by a policeman attached to the Isheri Osun Police Division in Lagos, while returning from a church programme (read here and here) is seeking justice for her dead mum.
Recounting the incident, 9-year-old blessing said: “All we want is justice for my family. I want government to take care of my family. My father is not working anymore since the incident, as he is still undergoing treatment at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital”.
We were all in the Keke Marwa when we heard the gunshot. Immediately, my mummy fell down, she fell on Elijah. She could not move. Blood was all over her . Elijah was crying from where he was trapped under her. My daddy was shouting: ‘They have killed me ooo’. But nobody came to help us. Everybody ran away .
My elder sister, Mary, was screaming, calling for help. I was the only one that went and held one of the policemen by the trouser. I was shouting at the top of my voice that ‘you people have killed my mummy. Come and take my mummy to the hospital’. Later some policemen came and brought Elijah out of my mummy’s grip. His body was covered with blood.
“My Daddy was taken away while a police woman took us to her house and gave us food and water. She told us to sleep that we would see our mummy and daddy next day. But up till now, we have not seen our mummy”
The deceased, Mrs. Idongesit Udoh was a mother to four kids, Mary (12) , Blessing (9), Abraham (7) and one-year-old Elijah.
Oh my so sad let them have justice

To get justice in a country like Nigeria is like getting water from a rock especially when the people involved are poor.So sad
This is serious matter and justice must take full cause.

So sad. Felt like crying. They should bring justice to them and the govt must take care of them too . An NGO should look into this and follow it up.
The govt must do something very fast
i hate the way and manner our Governments rule, haba. Since that time nothing has been done, because their children has taken refuge in other well ruled countries, then they left us to suffer as we want, they just wanna sit on that sit and make money, solving their own problems and leaving us out.If u people do nothing to rescue this children,Nemesis will be all the Government’s portion, that is how your children will cry for justice some day
Nigeria has bad Governments, they do tribalism, favoritism in their system of Government, that is why their children cant stay here, you people should better do something for this kids
So sad..
God would punish them
The judiciary system in this country is in total shambles
This madness was caused by the police, the matter should be treated and let them have justice so they can heal.
