China Lifts Ban On One Child Policy

China will now allow willing couples to have two children each, not more, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported Thursday, a move that would effectively dismantle the remnants of the country’s one-child policy that had been eased in recent years.
China, now a nation of more than 1.3 billion people, instituted a policy of one child per couple to control population growth in the 1970s. When its propaganda didn’t work, local officials resorted to abortions, heavy fines and forced sterilization.
Do you think the government has a right to regulating how many children people have?

Good for them.
Hie I hear u . I pray they will stick to it.
Wow ok oh
Lolz good for them
That’s a good ideal let them impliment on it
Well, for me the government doesn’t have right to impose one child policy even though they are doing that for the betterment of their country. There should be other ways to encourage its citizenry on having a simple family.
i dont think it will work for them. they wont agree to that. #tryamforNaija
Very good. Two is okay.
Two is better.Regulating the number of children is best for the economy of a nation
d govt is wrong bt wetin dem go do na? Thank God its lifted
We need this in Niger
Good for them
better
Their govt. is responsible dt’s why such law was enacted and obeyed, not like dis country of ours where d govt dnt care of the people, dn’t know d total no. of children u have, wher u stay etc.
Yes rules should be in place especially with over population
people will not adhere to that rule. U can impose the nuber of children u want couples to bear but u can tell them not to have more than 4/5 not just 1/2
It’s a great development but they should better watch it.
