#FuelPriceIncrease: See What Murray Bruce Is Asking The President To Do
Following the removal of fuel subsidy and the hike in fuel price, Senator Ben Murray Bruce has reached out to President Buhari to suggest for more measures to help the people of Nigeria.
His reaction followed Wednesday’s deregulation of Nigeria’s petroleum downstream which saw the price of petrol increased by the federal government to N145 per litre, nearly double the previous N86.50 rate.
The senator took to twitter to post a new request asking the President to increase the minimum wage to help Nigerians cope with the increased fuel price.
He said: ”Is it fair on the masses to ask them to pay double for fuel when we have not improved the economy or reduced what we in govt consume?”
Already FG ruled out the ₦5k allowance it promised poor Nigerians. Instead of assisting them the FG wants to take from them via fuel price,” he added.
