Blogger Receives Backlash for Advising Women to “do their Housework Cheerfully”
A blogger, named Lori Alexander, from California, recently shared a post advising wives not to expect their husbands to help with domestic chores and this has got people talking.
In the post, she shared tips on how to have a “happy marriage” and suggested that a wife cannot be happy if she expects her husband to help with household chores “because expectations destroy relationships.”
She then added, “If he helps, great and if not, do your housework cheerfully as unto the Lord. Remember, you didn’t marry your husband to help with the household chores.”

The post, however, was not well received by followers who called the blogger “medieval”. A follower named Lara Baker responded with the words, “The 1950’s called, they want their sexist gender politics back. FYI: God intended husband and wife to be help meets to each other, not just the wife to the husband” and many seemed to agree with her.

I totally agree with Lara Baker. Husband and wives are help meet and not a master slave relationship abeg.
Bloggers are u ok
I disagree with her
Aren’t nonsense
Strange woman
In most cases both husband and wife have jobs still for the welfare of the family. So both will come back in the evening and one relaxes in front of the tv or browses while the other enters the kitchen to sweat for dinner, children’s homework, etc. Abeg say something else
the woman has self esteem problem and married a man ayho uses her as a maid

If you want to turn yourself to a slave in the name of marriage, it’s your call.
Lols, her life.
