Aisha Buhari Donates Relief Materials To IDPs In Maiduguri
The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has asked for all hands to be on deck in the fight against malnutrition among Internally Displaced Persons, especially women and children, Punch reports.
Buhari, who was represented by the wife of Borno State Governor, Nana Shettima, made this plea to Nigerians during the distribution of relief materials to IDPs in Maiduguri.
Shettima said, “It is time for everyone in the country to get involved in the fight against malnutrition in order to prevent more deaths.
Everybody should get involved to prevent the death of our people, especially women and children, from malnutrition, and this they must do now.”

Speaking further, she said, “The collective efforts of all well-meaning Nigerians will ensure that no child at IDP camps as well as other parts of the country lacks good diet.”
Shettima thanked Buhari for distributing food items to 1,500 families in Maiduguri and for supporting the IDPs and victims of insurgents in the North-East. She then called on individuals and establishments to donate towards the well-being of Internally Displaced Persons.
