Duke of Westminster, Gerald Grosvenor, Dies At 64 | Leaves 25-Year-Old Son £9bn Fortune
Billionaire landowner, philanthropist and Duke of Westminster, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, has passed on at 64, leaving behind his massive fortune for his 25-year-old son, Hugh Grosvenor.
The famous British Duke died at the Royal Preston Hospital in Lancashire on Tuesday after he suffered a heart attack at his grouse shooting Abbeystead Estate, BBC reports.
According to Forbes, the Duke’s fortune was estimated at $10.8bn (£8.3bn), making him the world’s 68th richest person and UK‘s third.
He had four children, including his only son, Hugh Grosvenor, who is heir to the dukedom and also Prince George‘s youngest godfather.
His sudden death means 25-year-old Hugh, who is one of Britain’s most eligible bachelors, has now inherited an estate worth an estimated £9bn.
