Inspirational: Lady Born With Facial Tumours Becomes Sensational Beauty Vlogger
A 21-year-old lady who was born with a huge facial tumours and branded ‘monkey’ by bullies has surpassed all odds to become a beauty Vlogger making waves online.
According to Mirror, Marimar Quiora from California, has become a YouTube star with her helpful make up tutorials despite her condition that leaves her unable to speak or eat.
Quiora who once hid her face from strangers now proudly bares her beauty to millions of fan who follow her online. She was born with a facial tumour called ‘Cystic Hygroma’, which makes it unable for her to speak, which means she uses sign language in her videos to communicate.
Quiora who struggled with her appearance when she was younger said: “To me, beauty means to accept yourself for who you are, and to ignore what other people tell you.“You show your beauty how it is, it doesn’t matter if you have a different looking face, accept yourself how you are.”
Maria, Quiora’s mum didn’t know of her condition until after she was born.
She added: “It has affected my mouth since before birth. Before, my face and head were bigger and I went through the process of many surgeries over several years to shrink my face and mouth to what you see today.
“It affects me in several ways. I cannot speak, I breathe through a hole in my throat, I eat through a tube in my stomach and the hearing in my right ear is diminished.
“When I was younger I would talk to myself in the mirror. I would tell myself I was beautiful.
“I would encourage myself and list all the things that were good about me and it built my confidence through the years.
“What I like about makeup and beauty is imagining new looks, especially around the eyes, and showing people they’re beautiful no matter what.
”People type their comments after they view my videos, and they say some really nice things. They tell me I’m beautiful and they love my makeup.”
Sadly not everyone has been so positive about Marimar’s venture, and she has received some abuse from online trolls. But, she’s upbeat about the whole situation. She doesn’t allow negative talk or people to weigh her down.
Marimar’s biggest fans are her mum and her 24-year-old older sister, Airam.
She is living her dream life and hopes to inspire more people.
