Husband Seeks Divorce Over Wife’s Dirty Habit And Inability To Cook
Due to her dirty ways of living and inability to cook tasteful meals, a 40-year-old father of two, Olarewaju Osasonna has begged an Ikole– Ekiti Customary Court, Ekiti State, to dissolve his 7-year-old marriage to his wife, Kafayat.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the petitioner further told the court that he could no longer cope with the foul smell from his wife due to her dirtiness.

He lamented:
”My wife is very dirty to the extent of packing used baby napkins with faeces for days in the house without washing them and this makes everywhere in the house smell.
”Again, she doesn’t know how to cook food; always cooking tasteless meals and will never take to correction on her dirty habit.
”Above all, she does not care for the well-being of our two children as a responsible mother should be doing.”
In addition, he explained to the court that his estranged wife was in the habit of cursing him and his family members whenever they had misunderstandings.
He also urged the court to award him custody of the first child and promised to pay N3,000 monthly upkeep for the second child.
However, Kafayat declined to cross-examine her husband and said she would state her own side of the story when she testifies.
Following this, Mrs Yemisi Ojo, president of the court adjourned the case till October 11 for the testimony of the wife.
