Fans Criticize Mercy Aigbe-Gentry for Failing to Host BON Awards | See Her Response
Nollywood actress, and mum of two, popularly known for her Yoruba movie roles, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, has been facing a lot of backlash for failing to host the Best Of Nollywood Awards, stylized as BON Awards.
The actress who agreed to co-host the event along side comedian Okey Bakassi, failed to turn up leaving the comedian as the only anchor.

However, fans have spoken out about the issue, saying the actress cannot properly speak English, hence her backing out last minute. The actress responded to this claim during a chat with Saturday Beats by saying;
“I would not speak on why I was not at BON awards or why I did not host the event. I don’t care about what anybody says. If they say my spoken English is not fluent, that is their business. I do not speak fluently yet I have hosted various awards including the City People awards. People have watched my interviews on television and they listen to me speak on my social media accounts”
