Last Wish of Dying 7-year-old Boy Living with Leukaemia Will Break Your Heart
Brave 7-year-old Filip Kwansy has been living in Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, after being diagnosed with a rare form of Leukaemia last year. Mirror Uk reports that his illness follows a diagnosis of neurofibromatosis, which caused tumours to grow in nerve cells, when he was just two.
Sadly, all forms of treatments, medicines and chemotheraphy have failed and the cancer has spread to his intestines. He only receives care now to make him comfortable for his impending death.
Sadly, Filips’ mum also died of cancer in 2011 in Poland. Now, her terminally ill son has issued a plea to the public to help raise money for him to be buried next to his mother. In just hours of posting that, the public donated £23,693, approximately N9.3million. His father Piotr Kwasny, 40, is said to be “overwhelmed” by the donations and cannot believe that people care that much. He initially estimated that around 6500 pounds would be donated, and is shocked at the large amount of money people have been giving.
“He says that I’m his angel that is looking after him here and that his mum will look after him when he is in heaven. I don’t know how well he remembers his mother, as he was so young when she passed away, but he has visited her grave when he was well enough to speak to her. Filip wants to be buried with his mother, so we will need to organise that locally and re-bury them together. I did not imagine that I would have to bury my child… you should go before your child,” Piotr said.
The young and lovely Filip, as described by patients and doctors, knows that he is going to die, and just wishes to be layed next to his mother so that she can look after him in heaven. Thankfully, the good people of London have made that possible.
