After his side, the proud dad of two went up to collect their runners up medals, and eventually handed it to a kid in the stands in Macedonia, a kind gesture he has made a habit of in recent years.

It was said that the little kid which the Man United manager gifted his medal to is a Nigerian kid. He stretched out his hand to meet up with the little kid who was still excited about viewing the game.
The little boy who is reportedly called Deji was sitting in the front role as the the Reds boss handed the medal to his delighted supporter before leaving the field. Jose Mourinho explained why he decided to give his medal to a young fan after Manchester United’s UEFA Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid.

“For me, the medal would go to some place in my house; for that kid, it’s the moon – something to keep and remember. It was a little kid with a United shirt. I have no idea where he comes from. I think it’s something he’ll never forget,” he said.
According to Dailymail, when asked about the gesture in his post-match press conference, Mourinho gave an answer that prompted laughs among the many journalists present.
“Sometimes when I win, I don’t keep the medals – so imagine when I lose!
