Dear MIMsters: What Should I Do With This Troubled Girl Living With Me
I have a serious issue that I have been thinking on how to handle and I decided to bring it to the house to help me make a decision. I have a 15 year old girl living with me who is from Ogoni in Rivers state.
She has been living with me since January and she confessed to me that she will not marry. This aroused my curiosity and I asked her why.
She told me that when her dad was alive he sold some of his relative’s land that wasn’t theirs and since they had no money to pay back, she was used as the sacrificial lamb to pay for the land since she’s the only girl out of her mum’s 4 kids.
She said the implication is that they changed her surname to the name of the man whose land sold his land and the man is late. Secondly, they’ll build a house for her in the man’s compound where she’ll live all her life and will never marry. If she marries, she’ll die.
Now, I got scared because I don’t know the spiritual implication on me and my baby that I leave in her custody whenever I’m away.
She also confessed to me that she has slept with about 6 different men on different occasions which I believe is true because she had a terrible infection when I brought her, and it has been treated. I have been thinking of sending her home before now because of her too much playing and lying attitude, now this.
She is very eager to stay with me and I feel bad sending her home but I’m also scared of keeping her after hearing this story. Please house, I need a candid advice from you all. God bless all of us
Please send her away, she’s got so much baggage that might be too much to handle.
You should further investigate this issue. Call her parents or guidance to find out more about what she said. If after that you still have your reservations, then let her go home.

Prevention is better dan cure biko! I think you shld sent her back to her parents but do it diplomatically. You can tell de parents dat you can’t withstand her lying nature any longer
I think the best thing to do is to contact her family and know the true story…

I’m n support to ur helping her if it’s within ur capacity nd that’s if she can repent 4rm her other attitudes of lying nd so, since she likes staying with u. If she’s ur daughter u sure would help her, so think about it nd c how u can assist her after finding out more 4rm her family cos she may still b lying again.
Where did the story say that she is a liar or lied. Must u call a dog a bad name in order to kill it.
