Help! 22-Year-Old Single Mum Disowned by Parents After Her Release From Prison (Details)

A 22-year-old single mother arrested for random theft has been released yesterday, after spending one year in a prison in Ilesa, Osun state.

The young woman simply identified as Bukola who reportedly had a baby inside the prison was arrested and remanded for stealing a dress.

According to the president of Behind Bars initiative; Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, Bukola is a cleptomania who has the habit of stealing both valuable and non-valuable things.

She was arrested by the police after she stole a dress and was caught wearing same dress. She was then charged to court and later convicted.

According to reports, Bukola who was pregnant before she was remanded in Prison, has been disowned by her parents and her siblings also do not want to see her. She is currently in Delta state in the custody of a well meaning Nigerian.

Behind Bars Initiative who shared the story of the single mother, wrote;

”22 YEAR-OLD BUKOLA FREED FROM PRISON AFTER ONE YEAR, DISOWNED BY PARENTS.

She just left prison yesterday after one year. She’s 22 and had the baby inside the prison. She has been disowned by her parents, her siblings don’t want to see her. I had to send a Volunteer, a Yali Network member to help bring her down to Delta State.

WHAT TOOK HER TO PRISON?

She has the habit of stealing things that are not even valuable (Please Don’t Judge Her), She steals and still uses what she stole in the neighborhood. One morning, she stole a dress and was caught wearing same dress. Police was called which led to the arrest and then charged to court and later convicted.
