Alicia Keys’ Hubby’s Ex Wife, Mashonda, Reveals Why She Decided to Make Peace With the Woman She Alleged Wrecked Her Home
Singer, Mashonda publicly accused the hip-hop producer, Swizz Beatz of cheating on her with Alicia before they officially split in 2008. Their nasty divorce was finalized in 2010, months before Swizz and the “No One” hitmaker, Keys, wed on the French island of Corsica that July.
After a trade of many hurtful words and name calling between the Mashonda and Alicia on twitter in which the former called the latter a homewrecker, the duo finally resolved their issues and buried the hatchet. What led to this change?
Mashonda admits it was a question raised by her boy Kasseem, now 11, that inspired her to rebuild her fractured relationship with Swizz and her children’s new stepmother, Alicia. She says:
“Six years ago, my five-year-old son asked me why his father and I didn’t like each other anymore,” she said. “I realized that he was reacting to our lack of communication and unity as parents. It was a wake-up call.”
“Co-parenting and blending is a universal topic and many don’t know where to begin,” the 40-year-old continued.
To this end, Mashonda Tifrere has released a book titled , Blend: The Secret to Co-Parenting and Creating a Balanced Family, with the help of Swizz and singer wife Alicia Keys, where she wrote about how they co-parent in peace, after years of bitterness amongst them.
“This book will serve as the inspiration and blueprint that is needed to raise emotionally and mentally healthy children.” She added.
The new author even invited Swizz and Alicia, 37, to contribute to the release, which is due to launch in October.
Alicia Keys penned the foreword in the book and Swizz wrote a chapter dedicated to fathers.

Beyond personal stories, Blend also provides advice from parenting experts, therapists and “other blending families,” according to the press release.
