The True Story Of How Celebrity Parents-Of-2, Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher Fell In Love Is Sweet
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have been married for over three years now, but their love story didn’t begin as love-at-first-sight.
Kunis and Kutcher grew up together on the set of That ’70s Show (where he was her first kiss). And even though their characters, ‘Jackie and Kelso’ dated on-screen, the two actors were five years apart in age when they met, with Kunis only a young teenager.
Years later, she went on to get serious with actor Macaulay Culkin while Kutcher dated actresses Brittany Murphy and January Jones before settling down with Demi Moore.
But with the old friends getting married in 2015, the story of how Kunis and Kutcher actually fell in love is as cute and down-to-earth as they are.
According to E! News, Kunis recently went on Dax Shepherd’s podcast, Armchair Expert, where the mom-0f-2 opened up on some unknown details about how she knew Kutcher was “the one.” Kunis’ answers are just as fresh and forthright as you would expect.
It turns out that after his divorce from Moore, Kutcher invited Kunis who was still single as at then, out to an event — because he was trying to set her up on a blind date with another guy.
When the guy was a no-show, as the actress told Shepard, Kunis and Kutcher started catching up and well, they were sparks.

”I see this guy and I see his back and he’s really tall,” Kunis recalled about the fated night on The Howard Stern Show in 2016.
Then he just turns around and it was literally like if we were in a movie, the music would start playing and the violins would go.
I think for the first time ever he took my breath away – I was like f*ck, he’s good-looking… Long story short, I didn’t leave until the next morning. [It was the] first time I ever slept over while I was single.”
Kunis also said there was one person in her life who was shocked about her romance with now hubby: her mom.
“I told my mom I was seeing him. We were driving up Laurel Canyon, and I was like, ‘Mom, I have to tell you, I’m dating somebody.’ And she was like, ‘Oh, tell me! Who are you dating?’ And I was like, ‘You’ve got to brace yourself for this one. I’m dating Ashton Kutcher.’ And she literally was like, ‘Shut the fuck up,’ in Russian,” Kunis told Shepard, per Marie Claire. “I was like, ‘No, I’m serious. I also may be in love with him, so….'”
“There were so many thoughts that she couldn’t process. There’s so many versions of his life that people thought he was that he wasn’t.”

Kunis’ parents weren’t the only ones kept in the dark about the sparks she was feeling with her former co-star.
“We were crazy neurotic about keeping it secret, like, to probably a massive fault, where we alienated so many friends, I’m sure,” the Bad Moms star added.
After that, things moved fast for the duo; it’s not like they had to get to know each other from scratch. Still, not everyone was a fan of their new romance.
“He was coming off of a divorce—post, post, post way post divorce,” she said. “But I think there was a lot of misconceptions about the divorce. And because he’s very private and respectful he wasn’t going to go and say anything.
So, he kind of just let rumors be rumors. And so people believed rumors….He ate it. So people had a weird perception of who he was based on rumors that he didn’t correct.”
However, Kunis said she wasn’t bothered by this backlash or speculation of infidelity because she knew him for who he truly was.
“We went into this relationship super transparent with one another,” she said. “So we knew 100 percent each other’s faults. We knew exactly who we were. We knew exactly who we used to be. Everything. And we were like I accept you for you are.”
By 2014, the two were engaged. The couple welcomed daughter Wyatt in 2014, and planned a super-secret wedding ceremony to make it official in 2015. They also welcomed second child, a son, Dimitri in 2016.

Since then, the family has been forthright about trying to raise decent kids in a complicated world, including talking about the harmful effects of social media and why they don’t want any kind of inheritance to spoil their kids’ future chances.
But as Kunis added to Shepard in this most recent chat, her current happiness with Kutcher didn’t come without some much-needed personal growth. Kunis told Shepard,
“I was an a**hole in my 20s, and I’ll be the first to admit it. That kind of is something that took me a long time to come out and be like ‘Yeah, you know what? I was a d*ck, and I accept it and I own it now.'”
