Mom-Of-1 And Wife Of Nollywood Actor, IK Ogbonna, Sonia Morales Demystifies Depression And It Is Spot-On
Quite a good number of celebrities have spoken about battling with depression and how they dealt with it.
Now, the essence of sharing all of their stories is for you to understand that you are not alone. And that, you need to speak out and seek help promptly. Entertaining depression and suicidal thoughts is not healthy, and just like someone rightly says, it does not solve the problems, it only passes it on to another.
Also lending a voice to the issue, is the wife of Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna, Sonia Morales who demystified depression.
The Colombian-born model and mom-of-1 made this known on her Instagram stories when she was answering questions from fans.
According to her, victims often feed depression into existence by giving it too much attention. She added that her life changed the moment she understood she was a warrior, not a damn victim.
“I have been depressed for over a year now and I actually cured my own depression by myself. But wisdom I earned in the process was priceless.
I became closer to my own self. I became my own superhero. It pushed me to read a lot and do my own researches that helped me understand that no one is in charge of what comes through my head but me.

Its all about thoughts. Depression is bunch of ill sick thoughts that gives us false idea of helplessness, numbness, and pain. We offer feed depression into existence by giving it too much attention in the process of self pity.
My life changed the moment I understood I was a warrior, not a damn victim. Today I’m actually very grateful for the whole experience it helped me discover my own strengths and capabilities,” she wrote.
