Beautiful 35-year-old Anambra State-born Nollywood actress, movie producer and businesswoman, Ebube Nwagbo says that though she longs to get married and raise her own family, she would not allow herself to rush into marriage in order to please people.
She stated further that despite the pressure to get married from the society, she’s thankful for the type of parents and family members she has, as they all understand that marriage is not a decision she has to make in a hurry.
Ebube Nwagbo who maintained that her upbringing and fear of God has helped her maintain a controversy-free life in an interview with Saturday Beats, added that venturing into business and reading several insightful books had not only helped her become a better woman but also a focused professional.
On managing marriage pressures, she said:
“The pressure of marriage comes but I am happy for the type of parents and family members I have. They all understand that marriage is not a decision I have to make in a hurry. I try to let everybody know that deciding who to marry has to be done right and at the appropriate time as well.
I have learnt to deal with this pressure by not allowing whatever people say to bother me. As a person, I try to be the best that I can. I come from a very strict Christian background. My parents always tell me never to forget where I am coming from and I never forget that.
The training they gave me has helped in shaping the woman I am today. Being a star comes with a lot of pains. There are people in the society who want to control your life and make you live in a certain way. But the truth is that you can’t please everyone.
Sometimes you have to be yourself and this could be misunderstood. It’s a price we have to pay for being in the limelight.”

Speaking on her new clothing line, Ebube revealed that the decision to go into that line of business was inspired by requests from fans and loved ones.
“The idea of Pushed Up came following weeks of soul-searching and brainstorming. I like to try out new things and look good as a person. What I have done is just recreate my looks and putting it out there for people to appreciate. I regard myself as a creative designer.
“As a businesswoman, I have learnt to read widely. I have had to learn from those who have been successful in business and see how I can replicate that in my venture. My best ideas come at bedtime.
In that relaxed state, I get to search my inner self and come up with ideas truly amazing. The fashion industry in Nigeria is huge, I am trying to create something good that others can benefit from as well.”
