Will I be fair to call off this relationship as I’m no longer in love?

I met him when I was in 300 level. He was my next door neighbour and we became friends, from being friends, we became lovers.

I never knew what he did for a living because he concealed that detail from me until 3 month into the relationship. When I got to know that he is a bricklayer, I told him that I see a bright future in him and that I won’t cheat on him because of the nature of his job.

Months later, he traveled out of the country without my knowledge and was stuck in Libya for 6 months. I was the first person he saw after he returned from Libya. He apologized for not telling me and promised never to do anything without my knowledge. Our relationship was sweet without money because he genuinely loves me.

Done and dusted with school, I moved back to my parents in Lagos, so we went into a long distance relationship. The relationship was waxing stronger daily as we couldn’t go a day without talking on the phone for like 3 times with each other. Sometimes, we made midnight calls before it was scrapped out.

After my service year, he proposed without a ring. Yes! Was my answer. This guy who wants to marry me does not know how to save and he barely has 100k in his account. I’m paid little at my place of work but I can save for Africa. He brought up the marriage issue that he wants to get married next year December. I told him to save more because I can’t suffer. He picked up a quarrel with me and told me that I love money so much.

He has since apologized but I do not feeling anything for him anymore. It is the like the scales have fallen off my eyes. I don’t really love this dude anymore, moreover my big sister has never approved of our relationship. Nobody knows the nature of his job except me. Will I be doing the right thing to call off this relationship? I just want to know.
