South African Woman On Twitter, Patric, Tells About How Her Mother Chose Marriage Over Her And More Tales Of Woes
A South African Twitter user with handle Patric @Vynah_m has taken to same to share a pathetic story of how her biological mother chose marriage over her.
Her reality which has empowered more people come out to openly talk about their similar experiences has it that when her mother was going to marry her step dad, whose culture do not embrace step children -according to her, she had to abandon her. Regrettably, her mother has not looked back ever since. The rejected daughter also claimed she does not even know her half siblings.

“I was 6years when Mom got married to a Xhosa guy “step dad” .so according to their culture i was not part of the package ,mom had to leave me behind. I never saw mom from that day .she chose a husband over me. I was not worthy. i dnt even knw my siblings.But life has to go on”
Many Twitter users identified with Patric’s story and did not hold back from sharing their own, too. However, A few native of her step dad’s place denied ever having such tradition. They claimed that abandoning her was simply her mother’s way of escape and not a dictate of their tradition.
