End Of A Fairy Tale For Mum-Of-Two And Former Bread Seller Olajumoke Orisaguna?
The fairy tale rise of mum-of-two, Olajumoke Orisaguna, 30, to fame in 2016 had everyone renewing their faith in providence just as much as local and foreign media made a feast of the the mum-of-two’s miraculous date with fate. Only three years down the line, there are speculations that all of the fame and fortune that came with that chance meeting is already fading into oblivion.
Luck smiled on Olajumoke that early morning in the very beginning of the year 2016 as she was hawking bread on Olonode Street, Yaba, when she unknowingly walked into a celebrity photo-shoot that was being executed by Nigerian ace photographer, TY Bello, with British rapper, Tinie Tempah being the subject of the shoot.
Olajumoke was unintentionally caught in one of the picture frames toting a wooden tray of bread on her head. Fate had it all planned and the bread seller was to only walk into the scene.
The accidental photo frame cut the image of a leggy model adding a creative twist to the shoot, and there began Olajumoke’s journey to fame.

A girl from very humble means; happening on that photo-shoot on that fateful morning marked the beginning of a new dream for the Osun State native of south-west Nigeria. Companies rolled over themselves to favour her as the spur of the moment, with amazing endorsement offers from popular brands including e-commerce company, Payporte.
Luxury homes and property construction company, Sujimoto gave Olajumoke a fully furnished apartment to run for five years. Things began to look up for the young mother and somehow she was groomed into a model before our very eyes, sometimes walking runways or just modeling for editorials.
Her fame rose to high heaven courting the attention of media giants BBC and CNN who featured her fairy tale-like story on their platforms.
Sunday Orisaguna who was erroneously represented by media as Jumoke’s husband was in fact her live-in lover and father of her two kids as they were never married. He remained in the shadows as Jumoke embraced the limelight wearing fancy clothes, walking runways and signing contracts. The media occasionally spared him screen-time but their lives transformed financially and their kids got a better chance at life and education when Stanbic Bank granted them scholarships.

It is now 3 years since that fateful encounter that shot up the bread seller’s fortune and fame but new reports say the mother-of two is struggling to make ends meet and her relationship with the father of her kids and lover, Sunday is heading south.
According to eelive who claims to have interviewed Sunday, Jumoke cannot boast of any means of livelihood at the moment, it seems as though the sudden fame quieted down just as abruptly as it began.
The dad-of -two allegedly said things are tough for them and help is farther from him because people believe that the mother of his children has hit it big. He lamented that Olajumoke and her family have refused to agree to the formalization of their relationship despite having two children together.
Although Olajumoke and her erstwhile manager, Azuka Ogujiuba, would not discuss the details of their parting of ways, both maintained that they remain friendly and accessible to one another. Sources close to both parties, however, insist that the severance of their relationship has left the former bread seller uncertain and confused. This suspicion was confirmed by Sunday who was quoted by eelive to have said:
“I think she was better when she was with Azuka because Azuka and TY Bello have great connections that paid Olajumoke more”.
According to eelive, Sunday also complained that he is often kept in the dark of Olajumoke’s activities.
He was quoted as saying:
“I just know her manager calls her, they go out and return late.
Sometimes she returns as late as past 12am and without explanations.
She doesn’t even tell me where they go and what happens.”
The former bread seller herself allegedly corroborated Sunday’s claims that things are not looking up financially as they were only three years ago.
Although she has no job and savings, Olajumoke reportedly spoke of her desire to have a home of her own before the existing rent expires in two years and to establish a hair care business before the end of 2019.
