Baby Recipe: How To Make Spinach Puree For Your Baby
The antioxidant-rich properties of spinach makes it an ideal veggie for babies 8- to 10-months-old. Baby spinach puree is also one of the easiest dark leafy greens to eat.
Healthy spinach puree is good to have on hand. You can add this to literally anything. A great way to feed kids and babies spinach.

This recipe is ideal for babies 8 months and above
Ingredients
Fresh Spinach
Step 1
select and buy fresh, blemish free spinach leaves that are not wilted. Be sure to buy the organic type to avoid pesticide residue.
Step 2
Remove stems from your spinach and soak in cold water for two minutes. Rinse thoroughly under cool running water and allow to drain in a colander till it is dry.

Step 3
Steam spinach until tender (about five minutes). Drain, rinse with cool water for three minutes to stop the cooking process.
Step 4
Puree spinach in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency; use breast milk or formula in place of water for a creamier texture.
Step 5
Spinach is an ideal mix-in with other veggies, grains, and protein.
Try mixing spinach puree with carrots, sweet potatoes, chicken, mackerel, brown rice or some other food your child loves.
