Nigerian Man, Destiny Chibuike Causes Stir Online After Making This Derogatory Comment About Women
A Nigerian man,Destiny Chibuike, has stirred up a debate online after an insensitive post he made on his Facebook page. At this day and age, it’s rather worrisome that there are still people in large numbers who still think like him.
As expected, this man came under severe criticism after saying that a woman’s beauty and academic qualifications is baseless if she is single and without a husband. In the post, Chibuike categorically stated that such woman’s beauty and education is a ‘waste’.
His rather controversial post has sparked major reactions on social media. While some agreed with him, many others bashed him for limiting a woman to the partner of a man rather than a human who should exist on her own conditions.
Many have argued that it is statements like these that fuel gender inequality, making people see women as lesser beings only to be accepted fully into the society and validated as functional only when they get married.
