Sonia Ogbonna Admonishes Mom To Break The Tradition On How Boys Are Raised In Genuine Post
The debate around whether boys are being raised with as much moral consciousness as their girl counterparts and the effect of the lopsided training has consistently being brought to fore in recent times. Celebrity mum, Sonia Ogbonna whose only child happens to be a boy, seems to identify with the discussion that there have been fault lines in how boys are traditionally raised compared to girls.
In a new Instagram post, the pretty mum shared a photo of herself with her son and went head-on to broach the subject of raising a good man, because according to her, ‘A man will be what you raise him to be”.

Sonia’s marriage to her Nollywood actor hubby has been rumoured to be in trouble, but more importantly, the Columbian beauty has become a distinct voice in the advocacy for fair treatment of women.
In her Instagram post, Sonia faulted the cliche phrase, ‘A man will always be a man’. She says it is not only untrue but that it excuses bad behaviour.
In her opinion, it robs men of social skills required to nurture responsible and fulfilling relationships with women. The problem with raising boys without holding them to high standards as the girls, in her opinion, makes it difficult for the boys as they grow into men to be accountable and take responsibility for the choices that they make.
She called on other mums to see to it that they do not raise sons who are slaves to tradition, but raise them with love and sustainable values, as she is doing with her own son.

Nowadays so many women complain about guys, while some just donât expect much from them . âA man will always be a manâ they say.
But thatâs not true. A man will be what you raise him to be. If you want a good man for yourself, raise one for someone else.
Donât be a slave to tradition that is cruel and makes no sense.
Here is to raising young men and someoneâs future men with LOVE, so they can poses emotional intelligence & be able to show love tomorrow,
with a dose of SELF-CRITICISM that is stronger than ego so they can apologize when they do wrong but most importantly, as a women that we are,
teach them a womanâs worth so they know that being good, affectionate, kind, appreciative
and gentle to their ladies is not a sign of weakness but the most ultimate strength a man can demonstrate.Â
