“17 months postpartum, I did it my way and in my time”- Celebrity Mum-of-Two, Tia Mowry Encourages Other Mums To Not Bow To Societal Pressures
American star actress and mum, Tia Mowry-Hardrict gave birth to her daughter Cairo in May 2018, and has completely owned her journey to heal and recover. Dressed in a royal blue bodysuit, the actress recently showed off her incredible figure on her Instagram handle while revealing that she is close to her goal weight at 17 months postpartum.
More importantly, she also shared how the snapback culture, which pressures new mums to shed their post-baby weight as fast as possible, has negatively affected her.
The 41-year-old talked about being called fat during and after her pregnancy but said it was never a goal of hers to snapback as soon as she put to bed. Nevertheless, Tia has done it but only at her pace and wants other mums to not be pressured into losing weight postpartum just because of society. She admits he has some loose skin and stretch marks but loves herself fully and wants other mums to do same.

I intentionally documented my journey and became vulnerable to show #women that it’s okay to go at your own pace, it is okay to love yourself no matter where you are in your journey.
