Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu Advises Pregnant Women In The State On How To Access Free Health Care
Pregnant women resident in Ondo State can hope for significant succour when it comes to accessing free prenatal and postnatal healthcare. The State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has advised pregnant women to obtain residency cards in order to receive free access to health care in the state.
Speaking at the second forum for wives of Ondo State officials held recently in Akure , Akeredolu said that health care was free for pregnant women and children in possession of residency cards.

Stressing the importance of residency cards, the governor said,
“All pregnant women should go and get their residency cards, also known as ‘Kaadi Igbeayo’ so that they will be attended to free-of-charge at the Mother and Child Hospitals that we have established in the state.
Also every child under the age of five is entitled to free medical services in the state, if their parents have the residency cards. We have no other option than to take care of women.”
Akeredolu also said his administration would continue to take care of the interest of women in the state.
