Celebrity Dad, Idris Elba Gives Lifestyle Advice After Testing Positive To COVID-19
British actor and dad, Idris Elba has announced that he tested positive for Coronavirus despite not showing any symptom. The one-time ‘sexiest man alive’ shared the news in a video via Twitter on Monday March 16.
The actor said he underwent medical tests after realizing he was exposed to someone who had also tested positive, adding that he self-quarantined after finding out about the undisclosed person’s test result.
Elba, assured that his wife will also get tested, and gave some lifestyle advice, so people can keep safe. According to him, the outbreak is a serious one that should not be handled with kid gloves. He said testing positive even though he showed no symptoms is proof that many asymptomatic carriers are out there increasing the odds of spreading the disease.
The father-of-two advised that social distancing, that is, staying at home should be taken very seriously, and hand washing should be doggedly practiced.
“It sucks. Looks, this is serious. Now’s the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands.”
He said.
He wrote;
“This morning I tested positive for COVID-19. I feel OK, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”
