Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika Announces Date For International Flights To Resume Operations
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has announced that International flights in Nigeria will resume this month after the airports were closed in March as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
According to Sirika, flights will first resume at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.
He took to his Twitter handle to make the announcement on Monday evening, August 17; revealing that international flights will begin operations from from Saturday, August 29.
His tweet reads:
”Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020.
Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption.
Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience”
